Quiet Hours & Respect for Others
Enjoy a Peaceful Camping Experience
All guests are expected to help maintain a friendly and relaxing environment.
- Quiet Hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (strictly enforced)
- Respect fellow campers, park staff, and park property at all times
- Disruptive, abusive, or disrespectful behavior may result in removal from the park
- Firearms, illegal narcotics, and unlawful activities are prohibited
- For emergencies, call 911 immediately
- Report non-emergency concerns to park management for prompt resolution
Payment Policies & Park Use Agreement
Staying Current on Your Site Rental
To ensure uninterrupted use of your campsite:
- Payment is due in full upon move-in unless alternative arrangements have been approved
- Online credit card payments are accepted (3.5% convenience fee applies)
- Checks and money orders are preferred for in-person payments
- Payments more than 5 days past due are subject to a 10% late fee
- Failure to pay rent or repeated violations of park policies may result in termination of your stay
Campsite Occupancy & Guest Policies
Who May Stay at Your Site
Each campsite is intended for reasonable occupancy.
- Standard occupancy includes two adults and their children
- Additional adults may be subject to utility or occupancy fees
- Two vehicles are permitted per campsite
- Additional vehicles may be stored in designated areas for an additional monthly fee
- All visitors and guests must sign in with management
- Frequent visitors may be subject to additional usage fees
- Guests are responsible for following all park rules and speed limits
Pet Policies
Pets Are Welcome
We love pets, but they must be managed responsibly.
- Pets must remain leashed when outside
- Limit one pet per responsible adult
- Owners must clean up after their animals
- Outdoor kennels are not permitted
- Excessive barking or disruptive behavior is not allowed
- Please be aware that a working dog patrols portions of the property
Campfires & Firewood
Help Protect Ohio's Natural Resources
- Outside firewood may not be brought onto campground property in accordance with Ohio regulations
- Keep firewood stacked neatly and safely
- Burn only approved firewood
- Do not burn trash, plastics, or hazardous materials
- Keep fire rings clean after use
RV Requirements & Owner Responsibilities
Keeping Your RV Ready and Protected
All RV owners are responsible for maintaining their equipment.
- RVs must have roadworthy tires and wheels at all times
- Campers should maintain adequate insurance coverage
- Owners are responsible for securing and protecting their personal property
- RVs must be capable of being moved if necessary due to weather or emergency situations

Share the Road
For the safety of all guests:
- Call 911 for all emergencies
- Observe posted speed limits throughout the park
- Be alert for children, bicycles, and pedestrians
- Playing in roads and driveways is prohibited
- During severe weather, the Lock 24 building may be used as a shelter
Safety at Your Campsite
Prevent Hazards Before They Happen
Every RV must have a working smoke detector
Every RV must have a functioning fire extinguisher
Retract awnings when leaving the campground
Use tie-downs to secure awnings during windy conditions
Vehicle repairs and major maintenance are not permitted at campsites
Dispose of food waste and trash daily to discourage wildlife activity
Dumpster Safety
- Never place hot ashes in dumpsters
- Use all available dumpster access points before overfilling one section
- Dispose of garbage responsibly to keep the campground clean
Riverfront & Waterfront Safety
Respect the Water
The river can be beautiful but dangerous.
- Swimming is at your own risk and is not recommended
- Life jackets are required for children and non-swimmers near docks, ramps, and lock walls
- Water depths can exceed 22 feet in some areas
- Riverbanks and lock walls can be extremely slippery
- Water shoes are recommended
- Be aware of river currents, changing weather, and commercial barge traffic

Electrical Service
Managing Your Power Usage
Lock 24 RV Park utilizes an electrical allowance system.
- A portion of monthly lot rent is allocated toward electrical usage
- Monthly meter readings are recorded
- Excess electrical usage may be billed separately
- Turn off unnecessary appliances and lighting when away from your site
- Excessive electrical demand from non-standard equipment may result in additional charges
- Utility charges are due with monthly rent
- Meter tampering may result in service disconnection and removal from the park
Water Service
Protecting a Shared Resource
Our water system is supplied by a private EPA-monitored well.
- Use only approved white potable-water hoses
- Disconnect water hoses when leaving your site
- Keep water connections separated from sewer lines
- Periodic maintenance outages may occur throughout the year
- Excessive water use may result in additional charges
- Car washing and large recreational water use are subject to management approval
Sewer & Septic Guidelines
Maintaining a Healthy System
Proper sewer usage helps prevent costly repairs and service interruptions
- Close sewage valves when leaving for extended periods
- Do not discharge grey water or black water onto the ground
- Do not use French wells
- Dispose of wipes, paper towels, and similar items in trash receptacles
- Use RV-approved toilet paper and treatment products
- Hard PVC connections are recommended whenever possible
Winter Camping Requirements
Prepare for Cold Weather
Winter campers are responsible for protecting their equipment.
- Heated water hoses are required
- Trailer skirting is strongly recommended
- Propane heating is recommended during freezing conditions
- Campers must be properly winterized
- Disconnect water connections when leaving for multiple days
Additional Park Policies
Gatherings, Parties & Events
Large Gatherings Require Approval
To minimize disruption to neighboring campers:
- Events with more than 12 outside guests require prior management approval
- Guests must follow all campground rules during events
- Excessive noise or disturbances may result in event termination
Boat Docking & Storage
River Access Information
Lock 24 RV Park offers boat and trailer storage options.
- Dry boat and trailer storage is available
- Dock and waterfront parking options are available for residents and visitors
- Boat registration information must be filed with management before launching
- Subleasing dock space is prohibited
Flooding & High Water Events
Flooding & High Water Events
As a riverside campground, water levels can change quickly.
- RVs must remain movable with operational tires and wheels
- Campers should maintain active insurance coverage
- Guests must comply with evacuation instructions during flood events
- Failure to follow emergency relocation procedures may result in termination of park privileges
- RV owners are responsible for relocating their units when required
Abandoned Property Policy
Unclaimed Vehicles & RVs
To maintain site availability and safety:
- Unpaid or unoccupied units left beyond authorized periods may be considered abandoned
- Removal, storage, towing, or disposal costs become the responsibility of the owner
- Lock 24 RV Park reserves all rights provided under applicable Ohio laws regarding abandoned vehicles and property
- Failure to respond to notices may result in court-authorize
